Here's to a more positive 2011!

May it be a happy, healthy one for us all.

After the excitement of yesterday, things were very quiet today.  I managed to read about Michael Bruce Ross (a nasty piece of work).  Livi came home early again but laden with Doritos and Galaxy chocolate.  Sorry Mum, Dad D (I said I was going to eat healthily to get ready for the chemo onslaught) - promise it won't become a habit!

M came round in the afternoon and it was lovely to chat over a cuppa.  Everyone probably though she was there in her official capacity as a district nurse!  If I need 1 - I want her! I think she's brilliant.

I seem to be experiencing something called "cording" in my arm/armpit.  It's when the lymph fluid becomes hardened and feels, as it says, like a cord under the skin.  I can feel the cord in my armpit, but the pain runs down my arm.  Stretching is the best thing for it and massage, but that's a bit too painful.  I'm trying to stretch as far as I can - a bit difficult when I can't fully straighten my arm but it needs to be done.  I find it easier lying on the bed, lifting my arm above my head and letting gravity stretch it.  It's also easier without Frances on!  I've only had interruptions from the kids a couple of times!  I've learnt to cover myself quickly, as they just knock and enter without waiting for a reply!!  I'm still doing Morcambe and Wise and the other 7 exercises.  It's a wonder I have time to read!  Have to persuade Chris to paint my toenails tonight - wish me luck!
