Wednesday 14th July

Well, my toenails didn't get painted on Tuesday.  I blame it on The Silence on BBC1 which we'd started to watch the night before. What's 1 more day without varnish?!

Wednesday saw my regular 'phone calls from parents scattered around the country.  Not much to report since yesterday and no I haven't received my appointment yet.  Mum told me a cousin is running the Race for Life and I'll be 1 of the names pinned on her shirt. R had emailed to tell me she was entering and I'm looking forward to the photos, if she manages to take any.  It seems strange my name going on there.  A few years ago Liv and I entered a Race for Life and she put Auntie M's (R's mum) husband's name on her back and I put Chris' mum's on mine.  Somehow, you never imagine it'll be your name.......
The evening saw more visitors, S & T and the booking in of another one in the morning.  It was nice catching up with life.  Was envious when they left to go for a meal at a local Indian restaurant.  Pah!  Who needed Indian food when we had spaghetti bolognese?! (Actually it was really nice - hadn't had it for ages - thanks Tins)

The afternoon saw me go for a walk around the block on my own.  I feel a bit self conscious, to be honest, so it was head down and just get on with it.  My circuit took just under 10 minutes - didn't think that was good enough really, so I eeked it out to 15!  Home and smoothie (happy now DadD?).

Finally got my toenails painted!  Had to be done before The Silence, of course. It also had to be fitted in between Chris ferrying Liv about.  He's not a natural pedicurist, but I'm grateful he tried and on top of everything else he had to do.  As I'm sure you can see from the very flattering pics on his blog, they don't look too bad - from a distance!
