He couldn't resist it today - doughnuts! No, we didn't have them for breakfast, we saved them for later!
One of my exercises requires me to walk my hands up the wall. Dad D decided to mark it (in pen!) so that I could see an improvement. He's been fixing the coffee whilst I've been doing my exercises before breakfast. He keeps popping in, though, just to check I'm pushing myself and I keep popping into the kitchen to make sure he's grinding the beans ok!
When we've finished it's "right where are we going today?". We decided on a walk around The Courts in Holt, a National Trust garden. Another leisurely walk, at my pace. Lovely garden to stroll around, beautiful plants and shrubs. There was an artist in one of the outbuildings, painting flowers in watercolours, so we stopped for a look. I was aware of the drive home he had, so we set off home for lunch and our doughnuts. All too soon, he was gone.
Chris picked the boys up - a little bit later as Adam had a half hour detention for not doing his RE homework! I had a hair appointment, so Chris gave me lift down town. Luckily A had told my hairdresser about the situation when she'd seen him on Tues, so at least I didn't have to go through it all in the salon. What did I want him to do? I'd already thought about having it chopped, so we talked about that and whether it was worth me having the roots done. He didn't think it was and so he got to work with his scissors. I've decided to go very short because of the forthcoming chemo. I realise that I may not lose it, but the chances of that are slim. At this moment in time, I don't feel too bothered by that. Of course that may change. I feel it will be easier for me to cope with clumps of short hair coming out rather than clumps of longer hair. My hairdresser is happy for me to give him a shout if I need him to clip it all off. He said it may grow back thicker and darker - that'll be interesting, I've not seen my natural colour for years! It'll be a new natural colour.
Chris picked me up and didn't bat an eyelid. He says I've always suited really short hair - I think he's just being kind at the moment (won't last!). The boys didn't bother either - maybe he had a word with them before they saw me.
Looked forward to bed again!
New hair style how about a photo then!! Go on do it now
