Saturday saw the kids making plans for the annual carnival and party in the park without Mum and Dad! I didn't fancy going, partly because I still feel so self conscious and partly because I'd have been physically uncomfortable.
A friend of Vaughan's came over about midday and by the time Chris and I had finished shopping they'd gone. Adam followed soon after we got home and Livi had left hours ago. We had the house to ourselves - it was so quiet. Typically, Chris caught up with his blog and I fell asleep on the sofa. Aah, quality time together!
As the carnival procession passes down our road, we popped out just as they were nearing the house. Had a chat to a couple of neighbours and then went back in after it had finished. Adam, who'd come back for a bite to eat, left to meet up with his mates again. We'd already heard reports that Vaughan was, shall we say, "merry" (not impressed!), so it was going to be interesting to see what state he arrived home in. After we went in, I retreated to the bedroom to do my exercises. Not long after, Chris came up to tell me that our next door neighbour had been round to apologise. She thought she'd made an insensitive remark about nipples (!) and she was mortified that she may have upset me. I hadn't said anything to him about being upset, so he told her there was nothing to worry about. I hadn't taken any offence at what she'd said.
Went into the garden around 22:00 to watch the fireworks (or what we could see of the fireworks due to the trees). Then waited for the boys to come home. I won't go into detail as Chris has already blogged about it, needless to say I was baying for blood by the time they did come home - safely thank God. Adam text Livi while Chris took Vaughan's friend home and told her what had happened. This was something I'd decided not to do, as I had visions of her burning the town down to get to the perpetrator! She didn't though, she was a good girl and stayed with her boyfriend at a party. They had a pretty good idea who it was though! "Wait 'til I see him!", I fumed at Livi. "Mum, you wouldn't know him if you did!", she laughed. True.......:-(
